On top of their academic and artistic endeavors, Joseph Newton has created an impact of doing many other types of work. Two highlights are their work as a MYAccess Youth Advisory Committee member and their work as a Youth and Young Adult Summer Intern at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church. Both of these jobs were about serving others and making the world a better place. They each involved working with teammates and independently, the ability to plan for the big picture as well as take care of fine details, and creating specific structures as well as being able to think on one's feet. Many of these responsibilities were also reflected in their work for the Calvin Theatre Company. Joseph loved working for both organizations and is excited to hopefully continue creating connections with nonprofits that serve the world well.
